Booking Terms and Conditions

Booking Information: Please confirm surf adventure availability before purchasing your flight. Surf adventure prices do not include airfare and transportation to Malpais. All major credit cards, checks and money orders are accepted.  Please make checks payable to: Pura Vida Adventures. 50% reserves your space. The remaining 50% is due 15 days prior to arrival. Limited space in shared and private accommodations are available, please book your reservations early to receive preferred accommodations.

Travel and Flight Information: Please check with us to make sure we have space available in the camp date of your choice prior to booking your flight for your surf adventure.

Travel Documentation: You must bring a valid passport to enter and exit Costa Rica. Your passport must have at least six months remaining before expiration date to be valid. No Visa is required for Costa Rica.

Surf Adventure Discount: If you pay in full 45 days prior to your arrival date you will receive $200 discount. All payments must be received or postmarked at least 45 days in advance.

Cancellation Policy: We value the relationship we have built with each guest and want to create a memorable lifetime experience. At Pura Vida Adventures, we want to provide you with the best customer service, and we understand that unavoidable situations may occur, resulting in the canceling of your adventure. The following is our cancellation policy: There is no refund for arriving late or leaving an adventure early. If you cancel 60 days or more prior to the adventure start date: you can either apply a credit towards another adventure minus a $200 office fee or be charged a 25% cancellation fee. If you cancel 45 - 59 days prior to the adventure start date: you can either apply a credit towards another adventure minus a $400 office fee or be charged a 30% cancellation fee.  If you cancel your reservation 30 - 44 days prior to the adventure start date: you can either apply a credit towards another adventure minus a $800 office fee or be charged a 60% cancellation fee. If you cancel your reservation 15 - 29 days prior to the adventure start date: you can either apply a credit towards another adventure minus a $950 office fee or be charged a 75% cancellation fee. If you cancel your reservation 5 - 14 days prior to the adventure start date: you can either apply a credit towards another adventure minus a $1200 office fee or be charged an 85% cancellation fee. If you cancel 4 days or less to the adventure start date: you can either apply a credit towards another adventure minus a $1500 office fee or be charged a 100% cancellation fee.

No Exceptions to Cancellation Policy: There are no exceptions to our cancellation policy including but not limited to weather, personal emergencies, flight cancellations or delays. We recommend purchasing 
Travel Protection Insurance through your travel agent.

Cancelled Surf Adventures: If Pura Vida Adventures must cancel an adventure, all payments received to date will be refunded, which constitutes full settlement. Pura Vida Adventures is not responsible for any guest costs and expenses incurred in preparation for any canceled trips. We try not to cancel our adventures, and if an adventure needs to be cancelled, we will give you as much notice as possible. Please contact us before booking your flight.

Liability Release Forms: Guest who fail to provide personal information and signed liability release forms prior to your departure will not be allowed to join the surf adventure. The above cancellation policy will apply. Liability release forms will be sent along with your Welcome Packet once you have reserved a trip.

Welcome Packet: Once you have reserved an adventure, you will receive a Welcome Packet with all the tour information including a suggested packing list, liability release form and other informative information.
